HSSC Constable 2024 Selection Process
The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in two tiers:
Qualifying Tests:
- Candidates are invited based on CET merit for Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST).
- Tests are qualifying in nature to shortlist candidates for the Knowledge Test.
- Candidates shortlisted equal to four times the number of advertised posts.
Physical Measurement Test (PMT):
- Conducted as per Haryana Police Service Rules, 2017.
- Uses standard digital measurement devices for accuracy.
- Results displayed on Haryana Staff Selection Commission's website.
- Candidates failing to meet the standards are eliminated from the selection process.
Physical Screening Test (PST):
- Conducted to assess physical fitness and endurance.
- Standards:
- Male: 2.5 km in 12 minutes.
- Female: 1.0 km in 6 minutes.
- Ex-servicemen: 1.0 km in 5 minutes.
- Uses RFID or superior technology for reliability.
- Candidates must ensure they are medically fit.
- Results displayed on Haryana Staff Selection Commission's website.
- Candidates failing to meet the standards are eliminated.
Knowledge Test (94.5% weightage):
- Shortlists candidates equal to four times the advertised posts per category.
- Objective type, multiple-choice questions.
- Bilingual (Hindi/English), except for language testing.
- Minimum marks for selection:
- General category: 50%
- Reserved categories: 40%
Additional Weightage (maximum 3 marks):
- NCC certificate holders receive additional marks:
- NCC 'A' level: 1 mark.
- NCC 'B' level: 2 marks.
- NCC 'C' level: 3 marks.
