Age Relaxation : Age relaxation details are as follows: For posts withdrawn on 13.01.2022, candidates who applied and passed CET-2022 are eligible for relaxation. Candidates from Advertisement No. 03/2023 who are now overage can also apply. For general categories, the age limit can be extended to 52 years for SCs, BCs, and EWS. PwD receive up to 10 years of relaxation (+5 years if SC/BC/EWS) for Group C & D, and 5 years (+5 years if SC/BC/EWS) for Group A & B. Ex-servicemen get relaxation equal to their military service plus 3 years, if they served at least 6 months and were not dismissed for misconduct. Adhoc/contract workers can have their age relaxed by the number of service years, up to 52 years, but no further relaxation is given once they are regularly appointed.

HSSC Stenographer 2024 Selection Process

1. Examination Process:

  • The Commission will conduct an offline written exam or skill test for eligible candidates based on CET marks.
  • Number of candidates allowed:
    • 5 times the number of posts if fewer than 30 posts.
    • 150 candidates if 30-40 posts.
    • 4 times the number of posts if more than 40 posts.
  • If multiple candidates have the same CET score as the last eligible candidate, all such candidates will be considered.

2. Admit Cards:

  • Only candidates meeting the educational and eligibility criteria on the last application date will receive an admit card to appear in the exam.

3. Common Examination:

  • For posts with similar qualifications, a common exam may be held, with merit-based allocation.

4. Extension of Application Date:

  • If fewer candidates apply than the required number, the application deadline may be extended.

5. Minimum Marks for Selection:

  • General category candidates need at least 50% marks to qualify.
  • Reserved category candidates have a 10% concession, so they need at least 40% marks.

6. Shortlisting and Publication:

  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on their exam marks and will be listed on the website.

7. Re-advertisement:

  • If no eligible candidates are available after the exam, the post will be re-advertised according to the reservation policy.

8. Marking Scheme:

  • For a total of 100 marks, the maximum is 97.5.
  • General category candidates need at least 48.75 marks, while reserved category candidates need at least 39 marks.
