• Nationality
  • Citizen of India
  • Subject of Nepal
  • Person of Indian Origin: This includes individuals who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Candidates belonging to this category must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India. However, a certificate of eligibility is not necessary for Gorkha subjects of Nepal. Candidates requiring a certificate of eligibility must attach it along with their application.

  • For SSC(Tech)-64 Men and SSCW(Tech)-35 Women:
    • Age: 20 to 27 years as of 01 April 2025
    • Born between 02 April 1998 and 01 April 2005 (both days inclusive)
  • For Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who Died in Harness Only:
    • SSCW (Non-Tech) [Non UPSC] and SSCW (Tech):
    • Maximum age: 35 years as of 01 April 2025
• Educational Qualification
  • Engineering Degree: Candidates must have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or be in the final year of the Engineering Degree course.
  • Final Year Students: Candidates studying in the final year of the Engineering Degree course should be able to submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination along with mark sheets of all semesters/years by 01 April 2025. Additionally, they must produce the Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA). These candidates will be inducted on an additional bond basis for the recovery of the cost of training at PCTA, including stipend and pay & allowances paid, in case they fail to produce the requisite degree certificate.

Indian Army SSC Tech Recruitment 2024 for 69th Men & 35th Women : Selection Process

Shortlisting of Applications:

• Applications are shortlisted based on a cutoff percentage of marks for each engineering discipline/stream.
• Candidates in their final semester/year may be provisionally allowed to appear for the SSB interview, provided their cumulative percentage up to the final semester/year meets the approved cutoff. Failure to meet the cutoff upon declaration of final results will lead to cancellation of candidature.

Centre Allotment:

• After shortlisting, candidates will receive an email about their selection center.
• Candidates must then log in to the website to select their SSB interview dates on a first-come, first-served basis. If unavailable, dates will be allotted by the Selection Centres. Date selection may be forfeited in exceptional circumstances.

SSB Interview:

• Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at one of the Selection Centres (Allahabad, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Jalandhar Cantt) by a Psychologist, Group Testing Officer, and Interviewing Officer.
• The call-up letter will be sent via email and SMS. Requests for changes in the Selection Centre will not be entertained.

Two-Stage Selection Procedure:

• The selection includes a two-stage procedure: Stage-1 and Stage-2. Candidates who pass Stage-1 will proceed to Stage-2. Those failing Stage-1 will be sent back the same day.
• The SSB interview lasts five days, and details are available on the official website. A medical examination follows for candidates recommended after Stage-2.

Joining Letter:

he tenure of engagement for officers, both male and female, is initially set at ten years. This period may be extended by an additional four years, provided the officers opt for the extension and are deemed eligible and suitable according to the terms of engagement in effect at the time. Officers interested in obtaining Permanent Commission (PC) can be considered in their tenth year of service based on eligibility and suitability criteria. Those who seek PC but are not granted it may choose to extend their service. Officers deemed eligible and suitable for service extension can be granted an additional four-year term, after which they will be released from the Army.
